Positions & Publications 

MIAO has worked as a copywriter and content creator for NYU's Center for Data Science; an editor of literary magazines and creative publications; and a Spanish-English translator of poetry, academic papers, and short stories. Their articles, poetry, translations, and photos have been published in various print & online anthologies, journals, magazines, & blogs.

And A Woman Walked and Walked and Walked 

NYU's CDS is a world-leading data science training facility. 

 

While employed as NYU's Social Media Manager, Content Creator, and Departmental Photographer, MIAO's articles and photos were published on CDS's Medium, Facebook, and Twitter pages.

Esferas

Esferas is the NYU Spanish and Portuguese Department's Undergraduate Student Journal.

MIAO served on the editorial staff for Issue 10: Identidad/identidades and Issue 11: Sociabilidad y Ruptura

The Rational Creature

The Rational Creature is an intersectional feminist magazine. 

​

Multiple of MIAO's poems were published in The Rational Creature's 2018 and 2021 editions. 

And A Woman Walked and Walked and Walked is an anthology of award-winning and barrier-breaking Spanish poet Julia Uceda's work. 

​

MIAO was a member of the team who translated Uceda's poetry for this anthology. 

Staten Island, mi historia/Staten Island, My Story

Staten Island, mi historia is a bilingual anthology of stories by writers affiliated with Staten Island. 

​

This anthology includes MIAO's translations of the stories "Mermaids on Land" and "Two Turquoise Islands" by Oswald Estrada and Coco Martin. 

West 10th 

West 10th is the New York University Creative Writing Program's Undergraduate Journal. 

​

MIAO's poem "Bouquet for Stu, Who Showed Me How" was published in West 10th's 2020-2021 issue (not currently available online). 

MOODZine

MoodZine is a print-only zine. 

​

MIAO's poem "To Deny The Truth As You Live It" was published in 2020.
